As Design Director at The North Texas Review during my senior year, I led the visual redesign of the journal's print and digital publications, working closely with the Assistant Art Director to develop a fresh, cohesive brand identity. In this role, I collaborated extensively with the editor-in-chief to ensure the layout and typography complemented the editorial content, enhancing the overall reading experience. One of my key responsibilities was overseeing the creation of the cover design, where I worked closely with the Assistant Art Director to craft an impactful visual concept that aligned with the journal’s tone.
Additionally, I played a pivotal role in managing the production process, maintaining regular communication with our print press representative and editor-in-chief to ensure the journal was delivered on time, despite the delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout this experience, I was able to balance creative direction with logistical coordination, ensuring that both the aesthetic and practical aspects of the publication came together smoothly.
